Acquisition Strategist

Hello! We’re looking for a smart, hardworking acquisition expert with 4-5 years of experience to help grow business for our clients and evolve LIFT as an agency. You will be the digital marketing lead on all campaign and evergreen projects for two of our fastest-growing clients. We’re looking for someone with a growth mentality who’s excited about designing, testing and optimizing paid social, display and digital experiences that acquire new customers.


You will work collaboratively with the strategy, account and creative teams in identifying gaps and proposing opportunities. You will research industry trends and customer behavior changes, and work with our clients to understand their brand and business goals. You will brief the creative team on all acquisition projects, partner with the team to create solutions and work with account to measure outcomes and determine success. You are expected to be the acquisition expert within our agency–knowing how the channels are evolving, determining best practices across paid social and display and finding winners.


  • Two clients. Lead all acquisition-focused projects for two of our clients. Your client responsibility will grow with time and experience.
  • Methodology. Implement the LIFT methodology to drive conversion across display, paid social and other acquisition channels. You will be responsible for evolving our methodology and eventually implementing across all accounts.
  • Platform changes. Research and track trends and best practices across display (including sequential, programmatic, behavior triggered, day/time targeting) and paid social (including Facebook, Instagram, Google, Nextdoor, etc.) and bring knowledge and recommendations to the creative team and our clients.
  • Channel planning. Apply knowledge to assist in developing integrated marketing plans that make best use of channel opportunities across the consumer lifecycle.
  • New channels. Explore new marketing channels to implement and test in order to drive growth.
  • Partner with media. Liaison with the media agency and client. Provide testing recommendations, review results, bring insights/learnings to the creative team.
  • Customer segmentation. Help define and differentiate between customer segments (create flows and experiences relevant to the different segmentations).
  • Campaign maps. Help build campaign maps (document customer experience from the customer’s eyes, enriching the brand's interactions with their customers). Analyze user flows to understand where the largest conversion optimization opportunities lie and provide recommendations to our clients and creative product teams.
  • Winners. Participate in creative planning sessions to develop new challenger ad concepts to test against current ad champions.
  • Integrated experiences. Collaborate with product team to inform the development and optimization of digital acquisition experiences including homepages, landing page experiences, conversion experiences, in-app signups, winback, referral, etc.
  • Analytics/reporting. Analyze/review campaign results to constantly improve LIFT’s clients’ customer experience and marketing recommendations.


  • 4-5 years of experience in consumer marketing, with knowledge of paid social and display channels, platforms, tactics and technologies
  • Experience in digital strategy, online advertising/promotion, site development strategy, conversational marketing, mobile marketing, data science and/or analytics
  • Proven success managing online marketing programs with CPC, CPA and CPM cost models
  • Ability to review vast amounts of industry- or category-specific research, synthesize and draw relevant conclusions and insights
  • Experience in building presentations and telling a clear story
  • Ability to work well in small teams alongside strategists and account managers
  • Ability to identify strategic needs, proactive in nature
  • Great project management and organizational abilities
